So, if you're one of the hundreds of millions of people watching Superbowl LII just now, you're probably a huge American football fan - or maybe you're just one of the many people from outside the US who's baffled by the whole thing and has been frantically Googling the rules since 11.15pm (GMT).

Yes, the Superbowl half-time show has now happened and Justin Timberlake has given everyone a timely reminder of why he is one of the world's biggest stars.

On a whistle stop tour of songs that included a duet with deceased pop superstar and patron saint of Minneapolis, Prince, Justin took his place amongst a musical 'who's who' that includes Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé and Madonna as some of the top stars who have performed at the halfway point of the NFL's annual big night.
Yes, Justin brought Sexy Back to the US Bank Stadium in Minnesota with hits that included 'Cry Me a River', 'Mirrors' and a short version of Prince's 'I Would Die 4 U'.

It had been strongly rumoured that the Purple One would appear at some point in Justin's show as the biggest show in American football passes through his home town in the months after his untimely death.
The home crowd were not disappointed, and the largest cheer of a slick show was reserved for their favourite son.

After the bizarre pause while one of the world's biggest pop stars took to the stage, the teams will now resume their battle to win the Vince Lombardi trophy with the Philadelphia Eagles leading the New England Patriots at half time by 22 points to 12.
It's all to play for, but the real show has already been stolen by Justin and Prince.
