Yes, yes, very good, Bill Goldberg has returned and it's great.
The spearing machine, who hasn't been in a WWE ring for 12 years, has made his way back to the company to face Brock Lesnar. It is a match that has had so much hype that it's impossible for it to actually live up to the expectation.
It's amazing to see a veteran return, but, at the tender age of 49 years old, it does seem like a desperation move on WWE's behalf.
The former World Heavyweight Champion recently made headlines after performing his first Jackhammer since 2004 on Rusev on Raw but if WWE's creative heads were good enough, they wouldn't have to rely on bringing back an aging superstar to make waves.
It seems that in the past five years or so, storylines have been so weak and boring that an old face is called upon to drag things out of the bin.
Rusev probably would have thrived in the Attitude Era given his huge frame and power. Instead, he was used on Monday as a random big person who could be slammed by the returning Goldberg in order to hype up his strength.

There's no doubting old Bill still has it. His match with The Beast Incarnate will be one that is lapped up by the WWE Universe. However, if people were doing their jobs properly, creating shows that are genuinely enticing, then he probably wouldn't have been contacted to make a return.
It's becoming more and more apparent that the company that once stood tall above all else is now relying on figures from its past to bring in viewing statistics and generate talk.
