Legendary motorcycle racer Guy Martin has set a new world record while riding the biggest Wall of Death live on Channel 4.

Martin managed to complete the task, reaching a huge speed of 78.15mph, after initially getting round at 70.33mph.

The 34-year-old, well known for his speed, reached forces of 5.2G on the wall which was a massive 40m in diameter.

For those of you who don't realise quite how impressive this is, the Wall of Death has been a carnival attraction for many years. The wall is usually no more than 11m in diamater and motorcyclists are supposed to travel along the vertical wall held in place by friction and centrifugal force alone.

Congratulations to Guy, an amazing record to hold. That took balls of steel.
