Nate Diaz Won't Compete At UFC 244 Next Week Over 'Tainted Supplements'
Fighter Nate Diaz has announced he won't be competing in next week's UFC 244 main event fight with Jorge Masvidal.
He's posted a note on Twitter saying that authorities have flagged him for testing positive for a substance that's unclear at the moment.
"I'm not gonna make it out to NYC for fight next week because they say I tested with elevated levels that they say might be from some tainted supplements. I call false on that cause I only take Whole Food or natural food supplements. I don't even eat meat.
"So until UFC, USADA or whoever is FUCKING with me fixes it, I won't be competing. I'm not gonna play their game and try and hide it or keep quiet, as they suggested.
"I'm not gonna have my name tainted as a cheater like these other motherfuckers who keep quiet until after the fight just so that they can get paid. Fuckin cheaters.
"I don't give a fuck about some money over my dignity and my legacy. I'm not playing along with this bullshit.
'I'm not staying quiet and figuring it out after the fight. That's cheating.
"So fight game I'll see you when I see you. Sincerely, the realest baddest mother fucker in the game."
It didn't take long for one of the sport's biggest mouths to comment about the decision.
Conor McGregor took to Twitter to say: "There's only one Bad Mother Fucker in this game and he is the weight jumping, sport crossing, country invading, whiskey drinking Irish animal typing this tweet right now.
"Right here from his presidential suite at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Moscow. See you all soon."
