Dana White and the owners of UFC have done an incredible job to push their sport to where it is today. Other than the odd misdemeanour there's an argument to say it's one of the best run sporting organisations in the world and now they've just made a f*ck load of money off of it.

There's been rumours that White, along with co-owners Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta were open to offers to buy MMA's biggest promotion off of them and a consortium including the WME-IMG group and The Kraft Group is believed to have had a bid of $4.2 billion accepted by the current owners.

MMA website FloCombat revealed that they'd been told by several sources that the deal had been accepted by the company's three main shareholders and according to the website White will still be staying on as part of the company.

The 46 year-old currently owns 9% of shares in Zuffa, the company owned by his friends Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta that currently owns the promotion, and his shares are part of the sale although he will get shares in the new company as part of the deal that will see him stay on as President.

The consortium made out of WME-IMG, the Dalian Wanda Group, The Kraft Group and Tencent Holdings will reportedly appoint a new CEO to the company and it is believed that the former David Brent of Manchester City Garry Cook could be that man.

It's a good time for the group to buy UFC with the biggest night in its history, UFC 200, coming up along with the huge Conor McGregor versus Nate Diaz rematch.

$4.2 billion and still McGregor will claim he's the richest man in the business...
