Nick Kyrgios Claims He Lost His Match To Roger Federer Because Of 'Hot Chick' In The Crowd

"I’m being genuinely honest. I’d marry her right now. Right now.”

Nick Kyrgios is known for his outbursts and wild behaviour on the tennis court.

He's thrown chairs, broken rackets, sworn at umpires, dissed his opponents and earned a spot in the sport's bad boys list.

So it should come as no surprise when the 24-year-old had a bizarre explanation for why he lost his Laver Cup match against Roger Federer.

Apart from the idea that going up against the former world number one was going to be grounds for defeat, Kyrgios reckons it was because he was a little distracted.

He came off the court and high-fived his team mates, before spouting this incredible line: "I lost concentration, I saw a really hot chick in the crowd. Like, I'm being genuinely honest. I'd marry her right now. Right now."

The exchange was captured by TV cameras, so it'd be hard for Kyrgios to talk his way out of it.

The Aussie tennis bad boy eventually won his doubles match 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 with teammate Jack Sock, meaning Team World is on five points and Team Europe is on seven.

Kyrgios had to pull out of his next match due to a shoulder injury.

Funnily enough, when he bowed out of the US Open earlier this year, he blamed Call of Duty for the loss.

It'll be interesting to see whether he suffers any fallout as a result on the comments made on the sidelines, considering he's been battered in the past because of what he's said.

He was slapped with a massive fine after a huge outburst at the Cincinnati Masters.

Kyrgios left the court and smashed at least one racquet, appeared to spit at the umpire, and then when the match was over he called him a 'fucking tool bro' before refusing to shake his hand.

During the match he also hurled a load of insults at umpire, including calling him a 'potato', a 'disgrace' and the 'worst ref in the world'.

Unsurprisingly, the ATP came down hard on the 24-year-old and fined him $167,000.

He's been penalised for ball abuse, five counts of unsportsmanlike behaviour, leaving the court, verbal abuse and audible obscenity.

Aussie tennis great Mark Woodforde told 5AA radio station: "What was frightening for me was the kids after the match leaning over the fence around centre court wanting Kyrgios' shoes, they were wanting the mangled rackets...that shouldn't be happening after the display he displayed.

"That to me is troubling. That's not the model for young kids. This is a habit now for Nick.

"It's not really getting any better...the level of his outbursts are starting to get a little bigger and it's disappointing."
