The high-flying antics of Rey Mysterio were always a highlight of early 00s WWE, (or WWF as it was then). However, the master of the 619 certainly doesn't look like he used to.
Mysterio was the plucky underdog who rose from the cruiserweight division of WCW to become world heavyweight champion in WWE via an infamous Royal Rumble victory and a Wrestlemania moment in tribute to his friend - the late, great Eddie Guerrero.
Unfortunately, injuries meant we didn't see the best of Mysterio for long enough in WWE and he was released in February 2015 after 13 years with the company. However, Rey didn't disappear and he can now be seen on Lucha Underground.
He isn't the light heavyweight you might be picturing anymore. No, little Rey is now stacked as fuck!
Seriously, he was never a skinny guy but he was more toned than just hench. Some serious work has gone into that body. It's work okay. Bloody cynics the lot of you.
To remember the old Rey, watch his ladder match against Guerrero from Summerslam 2005, although maybe ignore the whole 'custody' of his son" thing...
