The shocking scenes took place at the Lucha Libre Boom show at the Lopez Mateos Arena in Tlalnepantla, northern Mexico, on 19 November.
His opponent, Angel o Demonio (Angel or Demon), had carried two concrete blocks into the ring, placing them down as he was struck Cuervo, who was using a chair from the ground below.
Angel o Demonio then returned to get his concrete block, throwing it down onto Cuervo - and hitting his head.
Cuervo immediately hit the floor, with blood seen smeared on the mats.
Angel o Demonio's actions have prompted anger from the wrestling world, with WWE star Kurt Angle tweeting to say he wanted '10 seconds with that stupid MFer'.
Give me 10 seconds with that stupid MFer that threw the brick. Shouldn't be anywhere near the business.

"Shouldn't be anywhere near the business," he added.
Ring of Honour's Bully Ray replied to the tweet saying he reckoned Angle could 'do it in 5'.
Others commented to condemn Angel o Demonio's 'disgusting' move, saying that he had 'gone way too far'.
One person wrote: "There's hardcore wrestling and then there's trash. That was trash."
Another said: "Been watching wrestling for over 40 years. There is no excuse to do this kind of stuff... none! He could have killed this guy!"
A third added: "Hopefully he never wrestles again I don't know what that idiot was thinking."
According to the Metro, a promoter of the show revealed Cuervo had suffered 'an epidural haematoma and he had a skull fracture'.
"He had surgery to drain the clot. He is out of danger, is in intensive care and is responding satisfactorily," they said.

A post to the wrestler's Facebook also explained: "We are fine. We are informed that the operation that the Raven had was a success. The clot was removed and is stable."
Angel o Demonio claimed in a post-match interview that he'd actually been aiming for Cuervo's back, but 'didn't have the accuracy', leading him to apparently accidentally strike his head.
He added: "I apologise to the entire public because first of all I am a professional."
Angel o Demonio is reportedly under an immediate and indefinite suspension from the Boxing and Wrestling Commission of Mexico.
