One TikTok account noted that the character wears a necklace with a clock pendant embedded into a key, while drawing comparisons to the evil character Vecna, as 'clocks are his thing'.

Elsewhere, others explained how the grandfather clock in the Creel household has a keyhole, in which Ms. Kelly’s key-shaped necklace could fit.

Furthermore, eagle-eared fans have also realised that the sound of a clock ticking plays in the background when Ms. Kelly speaks with Max at school and at home.

Others noticed that the clock in her office shows the number seven as a two, just the wrong way up - which ties in with the Upside Down.

“Ms. Kelly is up to some evil s**t. The 7 is the 2 upside down. #StrangerThings,” one social media user tweeted.

Different viewers also found it bizarre that two of the students she counselled ended up dying, but she didn’t report any of their symptoms to external parties.

“Keeping me up at night because how in the hell did Ms. Kelly have 3 students come to her within a week with the same symptoms and she didn’t report any of it to anyone. Especially when 2 of them end up dead. #StrangerThings,” the Twitter user wrote.

Regina responded to these claims on the social platform, writing: “(Warning: Contains spoilers!) Alright, alright - who agrees with this theory?! Did you notice that detail too?”

“So excited that @popsugar has shared this epicness from the best fans ever! Pinch me!

“Much love, Ms. Kelly."

The actor then responded to some fan comments on her post about her potentially ‘evil’ character.

One fan quipped: “Hey, fantastic! But don't worry, we know the truth about ya!” to which Regina replied: “Bahahaha right?!”

“Creeper! Can’t wait to see volume 2!” said another.

The actor responded: “I’m a total creeper!”

“Never trust an auntie with a perm,” a different person joked.

“Bahahahahah!!” Regina replied.
