That's why we teamed up with energy drink BPM as part of their Find Your Energy campaign. BPM was created for Irish people, so it's time we started showcasing some of the best talent that the Emerald Isle has to offer.
First up is the incredible Stephen Heffernan, a designer and illustrator who is hilarious and talented in equal measure. Whether it's a funny t-shirt design that's sure to stand out in a crowd or a colourful mural you're looking for, Stephen is the one to ask!
He regularly updates his Instagram with the latest designs, and so many of them are both relatable and side-splittingly funny. Take the design below for example; I know I won't ever look at my popcorn bowl the same way ever again...
Take a look at anything designed by these guys. You'll know straight away that whoever created it is someone absolutely bursting with creativity, and always looking to push the envelope a little bit.
That's what these guys do best, and their promise to "bring energy to everything we do" is certainly being lived up to. I mean, look at how fresh and colourful this gorgeous pink hoodie is!
Never underestimate the power of words, particularly when you use the right lettering. Someone with the required skillset and talent, such as Dublin-based artist Signs Of Power, can make the ordinary seem extraordinary with just a few brushstrokes.
Lettering an art form that not many people would be very familiar with, but we reckon it's time for that to change. Be sure to check out Vanessa's Instagram to see her latest creations, such as this absolute beauty she designed in Cavan for the arts festival.
Some people are able to turn their hand to just about anything, and make it spectacular. Grace Enemaku is most certainly one of those people, designing everything from events posters to streetwear and prints with as much style and flair as you could imagine.
Someone who isn't afraid of using their platform to give a voice for people and support minorities, Grace is definitely someone to keep an eye on. Having founded the DesignOpp brand as a way to champion people of colour in the Irish design scene, we only expect bigger things to come!
Emmalene Blake has an incredible knack for hitting pop-culture right on the head with her amazing murals. She designs and creates these pieces herself, and for us they act as a reflection and commentary on what is happening in the world around us - with commentary on events close to home (such as the pubs closing for oh so long), and the wider world - like the viral Bernie photo that summed up a global mood. To celebrate key occasions and events during the year, she's created bespoke murals; including some beautiful work for Pride Month and even a Kellie Harrington work to celebrate Ireland's latest Olympic Gold Medalist. We love to see it.
