Bad Boys for Life is released in UK cinemas today - the long-awaited third entry in the Bad Boys series, following the immensely popular second movie back in 2003. You've probably not even seen this new movie yet but guess what? A fourth film is already in the pipeline.

Sony is moving forwards with another instalment with Chris Bremner lined up to pen the script once again, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Looks like the bad boys will be back again.

After a 17-year absence, Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) have returned with the release of the third movie today (17 January).

As well as Smith and Lawrence, Joe Pantaliano returns to the role of Captain Howard, and Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Jacob Scipio and Paola Nuñez all join the cast.

DJ Khaled also features as a character called Manny the Butcher.

The first Bad Boys film was released in 1995 and followed lifelong pals Burnett and Lowrey as they attempt to protect a murder witness while investigating the theft of heroin from their own precinct in Miami.

Bad Boys II came out eight years later in 2003 and saw the pair attempt to stop MDMA from getting into Miami. The pair temporarily contemplated calling their partnership quits after Lowrey started dating Burnett's sister, but obviously the pair kissed and made up. After all, bad boys are indeed for life.

Now go and enjoy the third film, safe in the knowledge that neither bad boy dies, presumably.
