WARNING: Spoilers for season six, episode five of Line of Duty below

As Line of Duty series six continues to ramp up the tension over on BBC One of a Sunday evening, even Amazon's Alexa is getting involved in the speculation. Watch what happens when you ask Alexa who shot who in Kate Fleming and Ryan Pilkington's standoff last week:

To be fair, there are worse things you could ask than your Amazon Echo, after all, it does have the entire wealth of knowledge of the internet behind it.

So, with that in mind, people have been quizzing their devices about what happened at the end of last week's episode, as well as the identity of the mysterious 'H' that AC-12 have spent years searching for.

So, last week Vicky McClure's character DI Kate Fleming was lured to a car park by DCI Jo Davidson where she was met by OCG member PC Ryan Pilkington.

Because she fell into the trap, fans of the show were left wondering whether she'll still be alive for tonight's episode after two shots were heard to ring out, leaving everyone on a dramatic cliffhanger.

While we wait patiently - or not, as the case may be - for this evening's penultimate instalment, people have been busy asking Alexa to tell them what happened.

One video shows someone asking their device: "Who shot who in Line of Duty?"

Adopting her role with some aplomb, Alexa responded: "Mother of God, what a cliffhanger. I reckon Steve, Ted and Chloe got there just in time to take out fat sprat Pilkington in which case they can concentrate on finding the mackerel."

That's not the only teaser related to the show you can put to her, either.

If you ask who Jo Davidson is related to - another of the key mysteries - she'll answer: "I can't tell you who it is, but for the purposes of the tape I can tell you the cause of death was - being a rat."

Then, if you really want, you can ask the question on everyone's lips - who is H?

Alexa will tell you: "Mother of God. I can't tell you that. Those bent coppers will have me bumped off."

Alternatively, she might say: "Jesus Mary and Joseph fella. I can't tell you that, I'll end up in Terry's freezer."

Anyway, answers could be at hand, because the show continues with a mammoth interrogation scene this evening on BBC One at 9.00pm.
