With thousands of Australians shacked up in their homes due to the coronavirus, many are wondering what to watch on TV.

With Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Apple, Stan, Foxtel and all the other streaming services available at your fingertips, you're unlikely to run out of things to view.

However, if you want something wholesome, relaxing and fun, you can always catch the newest episodes of Bluey.

Season two of the Emmy-nominated show has started on the ABC and you can catch up on them all on iView.

The first instalment of the new season started yesterday (March 17).

You can watch each episode as it gets broadcast, which is every day at 8am on ABC Kids and again at 6:20pm.

After they get shown on the telly, you can watch them back on iView as well as the other 52 episodes that belong to season one.

Set in Brisbane, the show follows a six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy named Bluey, who lives with her father, Bandit; mother, Chilli; and younger sister, Bingo.

It's been praised left, right and centre for offering a good look at a nuclear family growing up in Australia. Strong family values are promoted during the series and viewers get an insight into how parents can play with their kids.

The Guardian's Philippa Chandler wrote: "The result is an offbeat, hilarious and tender show that captures the joy and frustration of parenthood in equal measure...Dry humour and vivid domestic detail packs each tightly scripted episode."

The New York Times' Parenting lead editor Jessica Grose listed it as one of the best children's shows to watch, describing it as charming, smart and 'very real'.

The West Australian's Bethany Hiatt also mentioned that the show is perfect for parents, encouraging parents to be more playful with their kids.

Creator Joe Brumm says the idea for the series was inspired by the way he raised his two daughters.

"There's no counting in Bluey, there's no learning this or that...just show 'em playing," Joe said. "It's to show parents that the kids aren't just mucking around.

"They're learning to play, learning to share...and generally you can just put your feet up and let 'em do it."

The show has been so big that it's been nominated for an Emmy Kids Award.

The result on that award is still pending, but it would be absolutely epic if the show could add an Emmy to the award mantlepiece, having already scored Most Outstanding Children's Program at last year's Logies.
