Posting a throwback photo of himself and his son alongside a newer snap, the host of The Chase wrote: "To my darling son Barney, 12 years is a long time. There you were by my side and here we are now, roles reversed with you leading the way.

"You are my hero and the man I always wanted to be. Our travels have been awesome, and I love every second in your company. Love always, Dad xxx."

Has someone been chopping onions?

The touching post has been flooded with love from fans, racking up almost 100,000 likes and thousands of comments wishing Barney many happy returns and praising Bradley for his heartfelt words.

In response, Barney wrote: "Thank you Dad. What an incredible journey! I feel so grateful to have shared this experience. Love you very much."

Ah, these two are too much, aren't they?

Father and son recently attended the National Television Awards, where Bradley's brilliant reaction to Ant and Dec scooping an award had viewers in stitches.

Bradders had already sat through the hosting duo picking up the Best Presenter award for the 19th year on the trot, so when it was announced that Ant and Dec's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! had won the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award - which The Chase was also nominated for - it looked as though he'd had just about enough.

The funny clip showed other nominees laughing and clapping as the winner was announced, but when it cut to Bradley, he looked less than impressed, pulling a grimace and muttering something unintelligible towards the camera.

Viewers loved Bradley's reaction, with one person taking to Twitter to say: "Bradley Walsh is absolutely buzzing for not getting voted for the award. Haha, his face is priceless maybe next year."

Meanwhile, another reckoned his face was 'more entertaining than the actual show'.

A third posted: "Bradley Walsh: 'absolute joke'. Told you he deserves a special recognition award."

Ah well, there's always next year, mate.
