Captain Marvel has been named the Most Mistake Filled Movie of 2019 by moviemistakes.com.

Well, if they're going to call the website moviemistakes.com, we'll have to bow to their superior knowledge on this one.

So, making a blockbuster film is a big job. There's literally people employed who work only to ensure that the actors look exactly the same between takes.

There are folks who check continuity on set to ensure that - for example - a coffee cup isn't left on the stage during a medieval fantasy drama.

However, whilst Game of Thrones was guilty of that - and also not a film - the results are in, and Captain Marvel has claimed the unwanted gong for 2019.

Basically, the whole premise of the website is to aggregate any mistakes that are spotted by eagle-eyed viewers and absolute pedants.

Marvel

In total, so far 59 individual mistakes have been logged for the Marvel film, which stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, a US Air Force pilot with the extracted memories of an extra-terrestrial warrior.

Those mistakes range from computers using an wrongly dated version of Windows to a video game playing a version of Street Fighter that wasn't released at the stated time of the film.

However, this doesn't necessarily mean that the film wasn't a success.

If anything, it could be argued that the more people that see the film, the more people log on to register mistakes they've seen.

As it happens, number three on the list of mistakes this year is Avengers: Endgame, and no-one is slagging that film off, right?

Because this is the end of the decade, they're also rounding up some of the best individual mistakes that have been made, too.

Marvel

That list includes some absolute doozies.

There's a self-repairing crepe in Endgame, a glimpse of Henry Cavill's protective studio clothing in Mission Impossible: Fallout, and many more.

For example, there's a classic in Deadpool where the Motor Mouthed Mercenary cuts his own hand off, but then later in the same scene the severed hand has switched over.

Seriously, the continuity folks must have been off with the flu that day.

Whilst you'll have to search out the full list to catch 'em all, there's enough going on in Captain Marvel alone to keep the internet busy.

On a serious note, perhaps people should spend more time actually watching and enjoying the movie rather than seeking fault.

On second thoughts, that's not how the internet works, is it?
