Cast Of Scrubs Are Doing A Virtual Reunion Next Month

Less than a month to go.

It's been more than a decade since we said goodbye to the cast of Scrubs and we haven't felt the same since.

But, if you've been pining to see the gang back in action then you're in luck.

The actors were meant to be reuniting at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas, however the event had to be rejigged due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Thankfully though, they've decided to keep the date in their calendars and will be doing it virtually to allow as many people as possible to see them.

Sarah Chalke, who played Elliot Reid for nine seasons, has told NME: "In terms of a reunion, we were supposed to go as a cast to [ATX TV Festival] next month, and so since that can't happen I think we're going to do it next year instead.

"This year we're going to do a Zoom or whatever platform of a reunion. So I'm really looking forward to that.

"We haven't really hammered any of the details, but we're probably going to be a panel chat, just everybody saying 'hi', and I'm sure most of the cast will be able to make it and [creator] Bill [Lawrence]. It will be fun!"

It's an incredible feat because it's been so long since we last saw them altogether after the series concluded.

Two years ago, the main line-up attended the Vulture Festival and we couldn't have been more excited.

Chalke was joined by J.D. (Zach Braff), Turk (Donald Faison), Christa Miller (Jordan Sullivan), Neil Flynn (Janitor), Ken Jenkins (Bob Kelso), Judy Reyes (Carla Espinosa) John C. McGinley (Perry), and Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence.

During Chalke's chat with NME, the actor also paid tribute to co-star Sam Lloyd, who died earlier this month.

Lloyd was tragically diagnosed with inoperable cancer in January 2019, just weeks after he and his wife Vanessa had welcomed their first child, Weston.

Sarah said: "It's so upsetting about Sam, he was just the most wonderful person. He was the nicest man, and so talented and so funny, and such a huge loss. It's really devastating."

The ATX TV Festival is still slated to happen online, so we can expect to see the gang back together between June 5 to June 7. Not long to go now.
