The story of killer doll Chucky is being turned into a television series.
Yep, fresh off the back of his cinematic return last year, the red-haired freckled nutcase is coming to a small screen near you.
The exciting announcement was made during NBC Universal's presentation at the TCA Winter Press Tour.

The series' synopsis, released by Deadline, says: "In the new Chucky television series, after a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town's hypocrisies and secrets.
"Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies - and allies - from Chucky's past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll's untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster."
And if news of the demonic doll's return wasn't enough to excite you, it's also been announced that the franchise's creator Don Mancini will direct the first episode and produce the season.

Speaking about the news, Mancini said he couldn't wait to give the little guy a new lease of life.
He said: "The show will be a fresh take on the franchise, allowing us to explore Chucky's character with a depth that is uniquely afforded by the television series format, while staying true to the original vision that has terrorised audiences for over three decades now."
The show will air on the Syfy channel.
Discussing the news, Chris McCumber, the president of entertainment networks at USA Network and Syfy, said it was testament to the character's creators that it has managed to stay so popular for more than three decades.
He said: "The character Don and David created has terrified audiences for over 30 years. The longevity and legacy of Chucky speaks to the creative storytelling and the loyal fans the film series has collected over the years."

Chucky began life back in 1988, and since then a whopping eight films have been made about his killing sprees, the latest of which hit cinemas last year and saw Star Wars legend Mark Hamill voice the murderous toy.
Speaking at the time, Aubrey Plaza, who played Karen Barclay in the 2019 Child's Play reboot, said she was a fan of the saga, telling the Hollywood Reporter: "To me, the original is an iconic movie. I haven't seen our film, just the trailer, but it's a real throwback horror movie.
"It's almost got a Spielbergian vibe to it. The reason I did it was for how beautiful the script was. It doesn't feel like a hokey, shticky, campy movie."
