Countdown Viewers Shocked As Contestants Tasked With Solving Rude Conundrum

Seems the producers prepped for an episode of 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown

Countdown viewers almost choked on their rich tea biscuits when contestants were faced with a rather risqué conundrum.

The daytime TV show, popular with pensioners and the like, went from the usual arithmetic, dictionary chat and polite applause to abruptly throwing a SLEAZYNOB in everyone's face.

Have some of that.

Of course, for Channel 4's 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, this is pretty mild. However, it seems pretty out of place for the OG show.

Indeed, it's not like the letters were chosen randomly - the conundrum was designed by the producers.

It begs the question, did they think they were doing 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown? Chances are one sleepy producer may well be getting a bit of a b*llocking.

The coarse conundrum didn't go unnoticed by viewers either:

The unexpected emergence of the SLEAZYNOB didn't throw contestant Leo though, who was able to solve the smutty puzzle in next to no time.

The answer was 'lazybones', in case you were wondering.

This sort of thing is part and parcel of Countdown though, it's just that usually the rude words are the unavoidable consequence of random chance, rather than actively chosen by the production team.

Co-host and numbers boffin Rachel Riley has had to bite her lip on countless occasions after unveiling racy words to the studio and wider population.

Last year, to celebrate a decade on the show, she shared a compilation of some of her finest creations on Twitter.

Good ol' Countdown - the only show on daytime telly that will bring you penises, vaginas and bumholes.
