A couple who were hoping to inject a bit of kink into their sex life ended up with a trip to A&E after things went badly wrong.
Nick and Stefani appeared on TLC's Sex Sent Me to the ER, where they opened up about the unfortunate incident.
Speaking on the show, the couple said they decided to give bondage a go and used restraint tape for the first time, with Stefani tying Nick to the bed.
But things quickly went wrong, with Stefani revealing: "Things were just really heating up and we're both getting very passionate.
"All of a sudden I just get these sharp pains in my stomach.
"I just had to stop, something was wrong. I jump off and I bolt to the bathroom, it was insane.
"I have extreme nausea right now."
There's really nothing sexy about extreme nausea, is there?
Poor Stefani ended up with her head in the toilet bowl, but spare a thought for Nick who was still tied to the bed at this point.
He said: "I was starting to feel pins and needles in my hands and my feet and it was getting really uncomfortable. I called out but I got no response.
"I hear Stefani in the bathroom vomiting and I get a little worried because she's doing it a lot.
"I'm starting to lose circulation and it's starting to get really painful."
Despite her almost non-stop spewing, Stefani is able to head back to the bedroom with a pair of scissors to try and free her fella, but she's only able to free one of Nick's arms with the blunt scissors before she has to head back to the bedroom.
As Nick's hand continues to swell and Stefani unable to stop vomiting, the pair decide they probably need to call 911 and get some help.
At the hospital, Nick is checked over for permanent damage to his blood vessels after being tied up for so long, but luckily for him, he's fine.
It's not as good news for Stefani, though, as she was told she'd need emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder.
She explains: "The doctor explains that not only is my gallbladder infected but I also have a gallstone blocking my pancreatic duct which causes pancreatitis.
"The doctor thought that the gallstone got knocked around due to the vigorous movement during sex."
