The world has been gripped by ESPN's documentary series about Michael Jordan's involvement with the Chicago Bulls.

The Last Dance has been widely successful all around the world, with two episodes being released each week.

Naturally, the docuseries will come to an end and everyone will be wondering what to fill the Last Dance-sized hole in their hearts. Well, it looks like EPSN has an answer.

The sports channel has announced three documentaries will be aired in the four weeks after the final episode of the Bulls saga.

Libby Geist, vice president and executive producer of ESPN Films and Original Content, told Vanity Fair that they've been blown away by the response to the Michael Jordan series.

"We've seen the ESPN engine really get behind The Last Dance and this storyline in every way," she said.

"The reception that The Last Dance has received definitely inspired us to really push these three films because they're really high-profile topics, they're great filmmakers, and we're really proud of the films themselves.

"So, they are not Michael; no one's Michael.

"But I think we have high hopes for some of the non-sports fans being attracted to these topics and these stories because of the quality, but also because it's a time when people are looking for high-quality content that, for us, happened to be about sports."

The first documentary off the rank will be a two-parter on the disgraced Lance Armstrong.

LANCE is being described as a similar format to The Last Dance, as director Marina Zenovich interviews loads of people who knew the cyclist and knew what he was up to.

Ms Geist said: "The interviews that Marina Zenovich got are incredible, and it's a really fresh take on a story that you think you know."

After that has aired, ESPN will release Be Water, a documentary about the famed Bruce Lee.

It also features interviews with people who knew the martial arts icon as it sweeps through his illustrious life and achievements. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and got rave reviews.

To wrap up the sweep of documentaries, viewers will be treated to a deep dive into baseball players Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa.

The two legendary players competed against each other in 1998 to break Roger Maris's long-held Major League Baseball record for home runs in a single season.

The three documentaries were slated for release earlier this year however ESPN realised people are hungry for this type of content and will deliver what the people want.
