After watching the Golden Globes last night, loads of people online have been registering their surprise at discovering Superbad actor Jonah Hill and Booksmart star Beanie Feldstein are actually brother and sister.

When it rolls around at the beginning of each year, the Hollywood awards season usually throws up a fair share of surprises. However, they're usually on the stage, instead of in the audience.

This year, 26-year-old Feldstein was nominated for her performance in Olivia Wilde's Booksmart, but not a lot of people seemed to realise that she is the younger sibling of The Wolf Of Wall Street star Hill.

Yep, they've even got the same surname, it's just that Jonah uses his middle name in the industry.

Here they are together, if you need further proof.

One Twitter user wrote: "TIL Beanie Feldstein and Jonah Hill are siblings."

Another said: "I was today years old when I found out that Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein are brother and sister."

A third commented: "Guys, I had no idea that Beanie Feldstein & Jonah Hill were related. I'm shooketh as the kids say."

Well, it's not as if they've been trying to hide that fact from everyone all these years, to be quite honest.

In fact, Feldstein gave an interview to US Weekly ahead of last night's ceremony in which she bigged up the influence her famous brother has had on her fledgling career.

She said: "Oh, my God, I mean, he's my best friend in the world, so I'm always excited for him,"

The Lady Bird actor also spoke about the advice he's given her over the years, particularly before her breakout role in Bad Neighbours 2.

She explained: "The best advice he ever gave me was 'no joke is precious'.

"When we were doing Neighbours 2 actually, he was like, 'You're gonna film so much stuff that's going to end up on the cutting room floor,' just because that's how comedies work. That was such good advice because you over-film and then they cut it down.

"We give each other advice all the time.

"We are constantly found heart-to-hearting in a corner at a family engagement."

As for the awards themselves, it was a big night for the British entrants. Sam Mendes - that's Sir Sam Mendes nowadays - took home two gongs for 1917. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who like Mendes has worked on the Bond franchise, won two prizes for Fleabag.

As is now customary, Olivia Colman won yet another award, this time for her performance as The Queen in The Crown.
