Whether you've finished the series, are halfway through or are waiting to get in the right headspace to start watching - everyone's heard of Netflix's new phenomenon Squid Game.

It has become the biggest series to launch on the streaming service and with that companies are now attempting to profit off the back of its success such as Cafe Strawberry which has opened in Indonesia.

The cafe is trying to fuel its pandemic recovery by bringing in a Squid Game theme - complete with games and challenges.

Staff working there are all dressed as the masked guards with red boiler suits on, hoods up and masks with circular symbols. Oh, not forgetting, they're holding guns, too.

When visitors get there, they will be thrown right into a game of 'red light, green light' but don't worry, they won't be shot dead if they fail to reach the other side.

The cafe has already been getting over 200 customers a day with people desperate to give the games a shot.

This has in turn helped the company out massively with owner Putra Priyadi, 39, saying: "Before this, when there was a PPKM (Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions), our income fell sharply. However, after the PPKM rules were relaxed, our sales began to recover and increase slightly.

"But after we started the Squid Game event, our sales rose significantly right away."

It's quite clear that fans are loving the cafe as 16-year-old student Jennifer Susanto explained: "Not all cafes would actually imitate and make it exactly like in the real show. I think it's unique and exciting so everyone can feel how tense the Squid Game show is."

And it's not just Indonesia where themed days/nights are being held either because just last week, an event was put on at the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the United Arab Emirates.

A listing for the event on the KCC's website said: "To match up to the world-wide popularity of Squid Game, the Korean series on NETFLIX, Korean Cultural Center in the UAE has organized an event that you can also enjoy the games played in Squid Game.

"Join in and enjoy the games with us at KCC Squid Game Event. Do not miss out on your chance to win the prizes!"
