The celebrity chef, who has recently been abroad starring in Gordon, Gino, and Fred: American Road Trip, offered up some birthday wishes to his young son - who already bears the trademark Ramsay scowl - on his Facebook page.
Ramsay wrote: "Happy Happy 1st Birthday to this little Boy have a great day Oscar love you Daddy"
Aww, how sweet. No swearing either, which is a turn up for the books.
To be fair, sweet isn't usually what we'd expect from Gordon, so maybe this is actually more of a surprise than we're letting on.
Anyway, despite the fact that Ramsay is clearly just trying to send a lovely message to his beloved son, most people just can't get it out of their head that he looks ridiculously similar to his dad - frown and all.
On Facebook, the photograph has had nearly 50,000 likes and has received almost 3,000 comments, many of which say a variation on pretty much the same thing.
One person wrote: "He has your "I am so disappointed that you're not listening to my advice" scowl that we've seen so many times on tv! Happy birthday Oscar! Wishing you and your family health and happiness!"
Another person said: "Oh boy, the 2nd Gordon Ramsay. He looks just like you when you are mad at people. Happy Birthday, Oscar."
A third person repeated: "Happy Birthday Oscar how time flies you are the spitting image of your dad and I love the face your pulling again just like your dad xxx"
Right, we get it - a one-year-old boy looks like his biological father, who would have thought it?
Anyway, it's hard to work out who should be more insulted by this comparison, Gordon or Oscar. Perhaps neither, really.
To be fair, it's not exactly a new thing. In fact, people have been comparing Oscar to his celebrity dad since pretty much the day he was born.
When he was just months old, Ramsay shared a photo of the pair together that revealed that he's got a wee mini-me on his hands.
After that, one person wrote: "Why does Gordon Ramsay's son look like he about to yell at me for overcooking the scallops?"
Good question, perhaps because he knows that overcooked scallops are absolutely disgusting? Hell, he is Gordon Ramsay's son, after all.
