It's just like Monica and Chandler are on social media

With an upcoming Friends reunion confirmed, fans have been watching all six of the main cast's social media like absolute hawks.

And - every so often, they drop us a bit of Friends-themed goodness to keep us going. The latest interaction that got fans excited was between Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry. The pair played on-screen husband and wife Monica and Chandler.

Courteney posted a TikTok video on her Instagram page that was very reminiscent of the dance she does as Monica on New Year's Eve with her brother Ross. She captioned it: "Could this be why Coco and Johnny are socially distancing themselves from me?" referring to her daughter and partner.

Then, in the comments, Perry replied to her in a way that could well be how Chandler would reply to Monica, saying: "Hi honey, what the hell just happened."

His comment has had 112,000 likes so far, and people are absolutely loving the interaction, with many referencing bits of the show.

One fan responded: "She had to dance by herself because your shoes were too slippery at the wedding!"

Another noted: "It's just like the time Phoebe was coming on to Chandler!"

Someone else replied: "He was in Tulsa for too long. That's what happened."

It was revealed back in February that a Friends reunion special is happening on HBO Max.

According to Deadline, the return is said to be an unscripted reunion special (think of when The Inbetweeners did it - but hopefully better and funnier).

Kevin Reilly, chief content officer at HBO Max, said: "Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together - we are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa, and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire Friends library.

"I became aware of Friends when it was in the very early stages of development and then had the opportunity to work on the series many years later and have delighted in seeing it catch on with viewers generation after generation.

"It taps into an era when friends - and audiences - gathered together in real time and we think this reunion special will capture that spirit, uniting original and new fans."

The special is said to also be involving Friends co-creators and executive producers Marta Kauffman and David Crane.
