Just days after Matthew Perry posted a mysterious tweet about 'big news', it's been revealed that we might be a little closer to a Friends reunion special happening on HBO Max.
According to Deadline, the return is said to be an unscripted reunion special (think of when The Inbetweeners did it - but hopefully better and funnier).
Nellie Andreeva, the TV Editor for the publication, has heard that the stars of the fan-favourite show - Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer - are set to make a comeback.
Apparently, the cast have reached an agreement in principle with Warner Bros. TV to convene for what is expected to be an hour-long special.

According to Nellie, each of the six actors will be paid in the region of $3-$4 million for appearing in the special. This equates to around £2.3m-£3m... or between £38,000-£50,000 PER MINUTE.
The special is said to also be involving Friends co-creators and executive producers Marta Kauffman and David Crane.
After Chandler Matthew Perry's cryptic AF Twitter post, fans were begging - literally - for him to announce a reunion.

Asking for some information, one user pleaded: "Please say it's a Friends reunion!?!" A second person said: "Reunion??? It's 2020 and everyone including Emma has woken up from their nap!!!"
A third joked: "Big news or BiNg news?" Bravo, sir, bravo.
However, it seems the 'big news' was just that 50-year-old Matthew was joining the Instagram hype.

Lisa Kudrow (Pheebs) responded by posting a picture of herself with Perry from back in the day, while Jennifer Aniston commented, saying: "Yay Matty! Could you TAKE any longer?"
Courteney Cox simply wrote: "Yes Matty!!!" Cute.
