Viewers have slammed Gogglebox's Mary after she did a 'racist' impression of Kim Jong-un's sister on the show.

The impression in question arose as Giles and Mary watched a news segment about Kim Jong-un's 'apparent' first public appearance in 20 days.

In the report, Kim Jong-un was seen at a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside his younger sister Kim Yo-jong, as the newsreader explained: "We say apparent because there's no independent verification of the claims by North Korea's news agency, but it is the first time the leader has appeared since speculation began about his health."

Offering her own analysis, Mary said: "What they might have done if they were very cunning was to rehearse this eventuality so he made this film of him walking past the monument for later use."

The news segment was reporting on the North Korean leader's first public appearance in 20 days.

After Giles asked who the woman in the background was, Mary replied: "She's apparently the puppeteer of him. Apparently she is very sinister James Bond villain type, that's more dangerous than he is.

"I think what will happen is, if he is dead and this is a fake video then the sister will just need to put things in place for her to take the reigns."

Then, seemingly mimicking Kim Yo-jong, she added: "And then she'll say 'Oh great leader, he die'."

Giles then complimented Mary on her 'great imitation' before adding that he was 'not sure how PC' it was.

Well, judging by the response on social media, it was seemingly not very PC at all, with many viewers labelling it 'racist':
