I’m A Celeb Fans Turn On James Haskell After He Calls Campmates 'Stupid’ Over Trials

I’m A Celeb Fans Turn On James Haskell After He Calls Campmates 'Stupid’ Over Trials

He was set to be a favourite on this year's I'm A Celeb, but rugby player James Haskell has really rubbed fans up the wrong way with his comments to his fellow campmates.

Viewers turned on Haskell after he called his pals 'stupid' and was very abrupt towards them, getting quite rude to Kate Garraway during the Dingo Dollar Decision.

Then, when given the chance to choose who took on the Bushtucker Trial for the first time - he wasn't best pleased with the way they decided who did it.

Cliff Parisi volunteered, but James decided that the names should be drawn out of a hat. Kate said: "Cliff wants to do it."

With James responding: "We are all really clear that Cliff's doing it, but it's about showcasing yourself or whatever, is for us to do that.''

Cliff replied: "I'm quite happy to be in all week and do a trial every day," with James interrupting him, saying: "Yeah we can all do that - that's the point, it's for us to make sure that everyone gets a fair shot to do it."

In the safety of the Bush Telegraph, Cliff said: "It all got a bit confusing because James goes blah blah blah and no one knows what the hell is going on so we just go 'oh, alright then'."

To get to the bottom of it, Kate said Cliff would definitely go in and that they were drawing to go in with him.

Jacqueline Jossa and Nadine Coyle both said that they didn't want to put themselves forward, with Jacqueline saying she 'can't deal with the drama'.

James then said: "I don't think you need a PhD in construction to be able to do it, if they said Spider Highway, you wouldn't need to know about cars to do it."

Ouch.

Trying to explain his moody behaviour, James said: "Ordinarily I would completely agree you need to find the best person for a job but there are a lot of people there who have self-doubt so the fairest way was to draw it out the hat."

Andrew Maxwell then asked James if he was OK, saying 'you seem really edgy man'.

James said: "It's just that unnecessary debate when people don't listen. I don't have to listen to people's incessant stupidity going round, I can't abide over talkers and dawdlers."

Andrew later reflected: "James hates what he sees as faffing but other people call it debate, having a little discussion about it."

People on Twitter have said that he's showed his 'true colours', with someone saying: "Really liked James when this started but he is now annoying the hell out of me!"

Most people agreed.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV this evening.
