Joseph Sikora Hints Heavily At Power Spin-Off Focusing On Tommy Egan

Well, he's wearing a hat to that effect, anyway

With the much-anticipated finale of Power on the horizon, and much discussion about what is next, we finally have something of an answer.

It looks like Joseph Sikora, the actor who plays Tommy Egan, could be getting his own spin-off show.

The 43-year-old actor posted a photograph to his Instagram account that showed him wearing a fetching baseball cap that read 'TOMMY SEASON ONE'.

He also wrote: "Who's READY?!!!!"

That's as heavy as a hint can get, isn't it?

His hat don't lie.

It's worth pointing out that Starz, the cable network that produces and airs the show, hasn't officially confirmed the new series yet.

It could still be an elaborate ruse.

However, it's a good one, if that's the case. Underneath the original post, Sikora's co-stars La La Anthony and Michael Rainey Jr. have appeared in the comments to wish their colleague all the best for his future endeavours.

Even rapper 50 Cent, who is the co-creator of the show, chimed in to offer his support.

Fiddy wrote: "My favorite character since season 4 TOMMY @josephsikora4 LETS GO!"

Perhaps more interesting for fans of the show is the location that he tagged he photograph at. He said that he was located at the 'start of Route 66' - the famous highway that crosses right from the East Coast of the United States of America to the West Coast.

Now, for anyone who has been watching, Tommy Egan has always lived and kept his business on the East Coast. However, in this last series, which was interestingly split into two instalments, he has been talking about upping sticks and heading out west.

This spin-off - once confirmed - won't be the only show to come off the back of Power. One other show has already been confirmed, and it'll star Mary J. Blige.

Power Book II: Ghost is going to be set in New York, much like the first show, and will pick up the story just weeks after where the OG series left off.

Obviously, we don't know exactly where that is going to leave everything, because the finale is yet to come.

There could even be another two things to come on top of this. The rapper 50 Cent - 38p, or Curtis Jackson, to his mammy - recently said: "I have 4 spin-off shows coming so don't trip."

As well as that, Starz president of programming Carmi Zlotnik said that the network plans to "continue to expand the Power universe".

He continued: "Season 6 brings us to the end of what we know is just the first chapter of the Power story. However, as one chapter comes to an end, another will begin.

"Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent have created a world rich with complex and dynamic characters and there are a number of stories we plan to tell as we continue to explore and expand the Power universe."

Power finishes up for good on 3 February. Let's see what happens after that.
