Kaley Cucuo Sex Scene In The Flight Attendant Was 'Uncomfortable' As She Hadn't Done One Before

Michiel Huisman, Kaley Cuoco's co-star in The Flight Attendant, said the movie's sex scene was awkward to film because she was 'so uncomfortable'.

Kaley stars in the film's lead role - an alcoholic flight attendant called Cassie Bowdon - while 39-year-old Michiel plays a stranger she meets at work.

She goes on to find the stranger dead in her bed after they share a one-night stand, but according to Michiel, filming was not straightforward because it was her first sex scene.

Speaking on This Morning, Michiel said: "Of course I didn't realise, but for some reason she had never done a love scene before, I guess that never happened on The Big Bang Theory.

"And it turned out that she was so uncomfortable and she had no idea how to do this thing. She was trying not to touch me."

The series was produced by Kaley's company Yes, Norman Productions and she was an executive producer on the show.

Kaley spoke out about the scene previously, revealing she had to be 'taught' how to have fake sex.

The 35-year-old never had to do anything too raunchy in The Big Bang Theory and relied on the tutelage of co-star Michiel to pull off the film's more X-rated scenes.

Speaking to USA Today, Kaley recalled: "Network 8 o'clock TV is a little different than HBO Max all hours of the night.

"I had scenes like that on Big Bang but this was like a true sex scene.

"I told Michiel, 'I've never done this before. Have you done it before?' He goes, 'Yeah, like 30, 40 times,' and I was like, 'WHAT?'"

In a bid to maintain decorum between takes, Cuoco would contort herself above Michiel, but in the end he had to make an intervention.

She said: "So when they called action, I still wasn't really giving my all.

"Michiel finally goes, 'It looks like you're hovering over a public toilet. What are you doing?'

"I'm like, 'I don't know what I'm doing,' so he had to awkwardly teach me how to have fake sex."

The comedy-drama series - which Kaley also co-produced - proved to be a hit and has already been renewed for a second series.

This will no doubt have come as a huge relief to Kaley, who admitted she was 'freaking out' when the Big Bang train finally came to a halt after 12 seasons.

Speaking to The One Show in March, she said: "I started freaking out about the comparisons there would be, or what my next project would be.

"But then I realised you can't compare anything to Big Bang."
