Neighbours is one of those TV shows that will likely go on forever.

The series has been seemingly running for years, in the same way as Coronation Street, Home and Away, Days of our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful.

But if you're a particularly big fan of the show set on Ramsay Street in the (fake) Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough, then you'll be shocked by this news.

Karl and Susan Kennedy's home in the show is going up for sale in real life.

The home, used to house the fictional Kennedy family, will go under the hammer next month and the sellers are looking for a cool $1.05-$1.15 million.

But anyone who's looking to purchase the home that Dr Karl and Susan found love all those years ago, will have to go up against a Neighbours super fan.

Harcourts Judd White director Dexter Prack told realestate.com.au: "We've had more calls from the UK than Melbourne, so far.

"We had inquiry from there before it hit the internet, and I'm guessing that was probably him.

"I have got a feeling the guy is going to have a red hot crack, talk is that he wants the whole street. But the owners are definitely going to auction, so he will have to make the winning bid."

The super fan is named Andrew Whitney and he's already bought two homes on the same street as the Kennedy's home.

Real Estate says Mr Whitney has already been surveying the home from the outside to get a feel of whether he wants to buy it.

He bought Toadie's home at 3 Pin Oak Court (30 Ramsay St in the show) for $867,000 six years ago, and 6 Pin Oak Court for $238,000 in 1998.

"I was so nervous. I've been to the toilet twice, nearly thrown up three times and the friend with me has bruises on his arm," Mr Whitney told the Herald Sun about buying 3 Pin Oak Court.

"I know the street better than anyone. I record every episode of Neighbours."

The owners of the home bought it 1978, well before the show first aired on Aussie television in 1986. The couple picked up the keys for an easy $68,000 and now their property could be about to make them millionaires.
