Channel 9 has officially confirmed the rumours that have been circulating all year: Karl Stefanovic is returning to The Today Show.
The breakfast programme has experienced one of its biggest shake ups, with host Tom Steinfort and weather presenter Steve Jacobs dropped.
Karl will now host with Allison Langdon in the new year along with entertainment reporter Brooke Boney, newsreader Tracey Vo, sports reporter Alex Cullen and Tim Davies as weather presenter.

The legendary TV host was rumoured to be coming back to the seat that he held for 14 years last month when a few publications said Channel 9 had approached him for the top job.
He told veteran gossip reporter Andrew Hornery: "It's not something that I thought would come up again. I thought my time was up, but then, when I was sounded out about it, it got me thinking."
The man who Stefanovic will be replacing, Tom Steinfort, wrote on Twitter about the shake up: "A bit of personal news: Am very much looking forward to returning to @60Mins in 2020. Will be great to work with my friends there again, covering the big stories in Australia and around the world!
"A big thank you to the wonderful team at @TheTodayShow, who I loved working with this year. And a special thanks to our loyal viewers, who are so passionately engaged in the program. All the best to the great new crew, I'll be watching....after enjoying a bit of a sleep in!"
