It's been years since we last saw Detectives Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson tackle the sickening crimes being perpetrated across New York City on Law & Order: SVU.
Christopher Meloni's character bid farewell to the show in 2011 after the 12th season and Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay) has since carried on to become Captain of the department of the Special Victims Unit.
But everyone is gearing up for Meloni's new show, Law & Order: Organised Crime.
Many have been wondering whether there will be a reunion between the former on-screen pals and it looks like we most certainly will.

Speaking to the NY Post, Meloni said: "It just has to be. Benson and Stabler are inextricably linked, locked and connected.
"How my character left was really unsatisfying, I think."
Stabler left the Special Victims Unit under the guise that he was retiring from the force. His final episode, titled 'Smoked', was a doozy as well, which left the squad room in tatters.
Clearly something is brewing in New York's organised crime; something big enough to bring Detective Stabler out of retirement and onto our screens.
The format could be very different to previous Law & Order series and plot lines could be drawn out over several episodes rather than the crime, investigation and criminal trial all happening in one.

The network has unveiled the official synopsis for the programme and it sounds incredible.
"The city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he's been away, and he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning," the synopsis says.
"Throughout the series, we will follow Stabler's journey to find absolution and rebuild his life, while leading a new elite task force that is taking apart the city's most powerful criminal syndicates one by one."
To be honest, the show could just be about Stabler getting coffee with his on-screen bestie Olivia Benson and we'd still be thrilled.

Meloni is promising that his character's departure from SVU will be explored in Organised Crime.
He added: "I think there is truly and deeply a worthwhile, inherent drama in exploring that relationship and the complexity of how Stabler left - the unresolved emotions both characters feel and how the fans feel."
Sadly, production on the show has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, however it's scheduled to premiere in the Fall schedule straight after new SVU episodes.
