Lego Builds Life-Size Baby Yoda Model

Lego Builds Life-Size Baby Yoda Model

In celebration of the second season of The Mandalorian, the good folk at Lego have made a life-sized model of Baby Yoda. Watch them make it below:

The adorable creature, who stole the heart of literally everybody, is one of the main characters of the show, which is about to start for its second series on Disney+ on 30 October.

And what do we know about the forthcoming series? Well, we definitely know that it's going to follow the exploits and travails of the titular character - played by Pedro Pascal - within the Star Wars universe.

We also know it's going to be released on a week by week basis starting on that late-October release date.

Remember when you had to wait a full week to watch the next episode of your favourite show?

Pascal's Mandalorian is still on a mission to protect The Child - that's Baby Yoda, to most of us - and discover where it came from and why.

Hence why the release of the trailer was captioned: "Wherever I go, he goes..."

All the while, The Mandalorian will be fending off the attacks of ex-Imperial officer Moff Gideon - played by Giancarlo Esposito - who wishes to capture The Child for whatever nefarious purposes he has in mind.

Speaking ahead of the show's release, Pascal said that fans of the show should tune in for some 'pretty mind blowing things'.

He continued: "I think expectations will be exceeded. [Our] love of Star Wars will be injected with steroids."

Carl Weathers - one for the Arrested Development fans out there - will return to play bounty hunter Greef Karga, as will Gina Carano, who plays Cara Dune.

Fans of the show have been very fortunate, in that filming for the show was able to be completed before the coronavirus pandemic kicked in and brought the entire entertainment world skidding to an impromptu halt.

Recently, The Mandalorian showrunner Jon Favreau said that he wanted to show to emulate the success of HBO behemoth Game of Thrones.

Don't worry, he presumably doesn't mean get to the key point before running it into the floor.

He told Entertainment Weekly: "The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world. The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavour, and hopefully we're bringing a lot more scope to the show.

"As we introduce other characters, there are opportunities to follow different storylines. The world was really captivated by Game of Thrones and how that evolved as the characters followed different storylines - that's very appealing to me as an audience member."

The Emmy nominated series will run to eight new episodes, and presumably thousands of new Baby Yoda memes.
