A baker has absolutely smashed a cake-making contest by doing a life size version of Killing Eve's Villanelle.

Played by the absolute goddess and queen that is Jodie Comer, the Killing Eve actress was turned sweet - somehow - when the cake version of the TV villain was created for the annual Cake International competition.

Tuba Geckil, 43, recreated the unforgettable scene from the series where glorious assassin Villanelle was sat on a blue sofa in her pink princess gown.

The amazing baker spent four days carefully creating the masterpiece using 50 eggs, 20kg of sugar, 20kg of flour, 20kg of butter and 200g of food colouring.

The creation went on display at Birmingham's NEC as part of the annual Cake International competition after she flew over from her native Turkey to compete.

Working with her assistant Taylan Celikakan, 43, who owns a cake shop in Enfield, North London, they crafted the stunning model, which stands at 5ft 9ins (1.8m) and weighs 65kg.

Tuba said: "It took around four days for us to make it. The inside is all sponge, with cream and chocolate. The decoration is made completely out of icing sugar.

"It's not a small cake. We wanted to make it life-size. Hopefully, it looks like she is sitting in the chair for real.

"I hope that I will win some medals for my cake. Afterwards, we will cut it open and everyone can try some.

"I'm a big fan of the show and Villanelle is a great character so I wanted to create a fitting tribute."

Last year, Tuba won a prize at the show for her depiction of Princess Diana with her sons William and Harry.

Her previous baking work includes President Donald Trump, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Beatle John Lennon, reggae icon Bob Marley, former F1 driver Michael Schumacher and Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Terminator.

Tuba is also the Captain of the National Team Chief of the Turkish Chefs' Federation (TAFED) a collection of the country's finest chefs.

Tuba added: "I started to compete internationally in 2015, winning medals in many countries.

"At the world's biggest culinary competition, IKA Culinary Olympics in Germany in 2016, I won four gold and one silver.

"This was a record for Turkey. I have worked with great shows and competitions across the globe and look forward to the Cake International in Birmingham."

Tuba initially attended a private art school in Turkey, working with oils and watercolours, and even in marbling, porcelain and wood painting.

She transferred these skills over into the baking world and began working with cakes and sugar dough in 2009, creating boutique cakes for clients across the globe.

Other cakes at the exhibition include a huge version of Lorek, the armoured polar bear from Philip Pullman's His Dark Material book series, with the TV adaptation set to hit screens on the BBC this Sunday.

There is also Stephen King-inspired creations and an interactive lifesize Santa's Grotto.

Over 1,800 cakes are on display for the judges from 120 different bakers and exhibitors.
