Little girl dubbed a budding 'David Attenborough' shares her room with 50 tarantulas.

Hollie Greenhalgh, eight, appeared on ITV's This Morning where she showed off her impressive collection of creepy crawlies which includes cockroaches, snails, scorpions and snakes.

The youngster, who uses the name Princess Sophie Pink on YouTube, calmly chatted to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford while handling her pets including a Chilean tarantula called Ruby.

She told the hosts she started 'nagging' her mum Rachel for a pet spider after seeing an exhibition at a museum - and she's now got so many pets she struggles to keep track of their names.

She explained: "Some have names, for the tarantulas we have to know what gender they are and have to wait for them to moult.

"I've kind of named them but there's too many."

When asked if she'd ever been bitten by any of her pet snakes, Hollie said: "Georgie has once bitten me... Lizzie has bitten me two times in a row.

"But you're more in shock than it hurts."

Meanwhile, mum Rachel isn't as keen on the pets, telling Ruth and Eamonn: "It's turned a lot into fascination now, but I'm still not 100 percent comfortable with them.

"I've just seen how she is with them, she loves them."

Hollie, from Cheshire, set up her YouTube to try and dismiss the belief that spiders and snakes are scary.

She told the show: "My mission on YouTube is to spread that spiders and invertebrates are cute. But my proper mission is to meet David Attenborough."

However, Eamonn thought little Hollie could do one better than meet him, quipping: "Hollie, you are fascinating, we look forward to when you're the next David Attenborough, and I hope you play this clip when you're famous!"

Viewers were bowled over by Hollie and her pets, with one posting: 'I reckon little eight-year-old Hollie's the next Steve Irwin!"

While another added: "Hollie is a budding David Attenborough."

Another posted: "Hollie is a breath of fresh air. Clearly intelligent and passionate about her exotic creatures. It's nice to see some good informative news/information amongst the current rubbish that's out there!

"Keep going Hollie I'm sure you will meet David Attenborough soon."
