Logan star Dafne Keen has revealed she's very keen (sorry) to reprise her role as Laura - aka X-23.

Although superhero fans are still in the dark about upcoming plans for the X-Men franchise, the acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney makes it seem fairly likely that the characters will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point.

And, while we know Hugh Jackman has finished with Wolverine after 17 years in the role, Keen has said she would be happy to star as Laura again if the opportunity came up.

When asked by comicbook.com if she'd play Laura again, she replied simply: "Yes, definitely. 100 percent."

And, for what it's worth, it seems as though Jackman would be pleased to see Keen on screen again.

Earlier this year he told comicbook.com that she was ideal for the role - something he realised from the moment she hit him during auditions. Well, that's one way to make an impression.

He said: "When [director James Mangold] came up [with] the character of Laura, and that the movie was in essence about family we were worried about finding the right fit.

"Until we met [Keen]. The first day we auditioned her... she punched me in the arm so hard, I was literally bruised the next day. Hired."

Sadly, we won't see the Aussie star back as Wolverine but he does believe there will be a reboot in the future.

Speaking to the Daily Beast in April, he said: "I knew it was the right time for me to leave the party - not just for me, but for the character.

"Somebody else will pick it up and run with it. It's too good of a character not to. It's kind of like, you're on your way home and your friend rings you and goes, 'Oh, dude, a new DJ just came on and the music is awesome, are you going to come back?' And you say, 'Sounds good but... no.' They're fine with someone else."

And that's not the first time he's said he believes someone else will take on the role - all the way back in 2018, he told Sunday Today with Willie Geist: "Oh, Wolverine will be back. Someone's going to buy him, I don't know."

This prompted Geist to ask: "Not you though?"

To which Jackman replied: "No."
