Netflix has announced its hit dating show Love Is Blind has been renewed for two more seasons.

For anyone who's managed to avoid the viral sensation - the premise is both simple and insane.

Singles are thrown together in the hope of finding romance, but they get to know each other while separated by a frosted screen. They're only allowed to see each other face-to-face after they've proposed.

The show then follows the chaos that ensues as the couples move in together and prepare for their impending wedding, deciding along the way if they're actually that into each other after all.

Love is Blind sees contestants agree to marry each other without ever having seen each other face to face.

Creator Chris Coelen already said he's down for more seasons, so the renewal doesn't come as too much of a shock given the show's viral infamy. He told OprahMag he '100 percent' wants the show to return.

He added: "I want to see a season 2 or a season 12. Don't you?"

Not only can you expect to devour two more seasons of the show, you can also - if you're very brave - apply to be in the second season.

Yep, applications are now open if you too want to agree to marry someone without ever having looked them in the face - though unfortunately the casting call is only open for US citizens.

You'll be asked questions such as 'What are the top 3 qualities you look for in a mate?' (sounds very Darwinian); 'Why are you a good catch?'; and 'What excites you about possibly finding the love of your life?'

As well as being great TV, the first season featured such stand-out moments as Jessica - the contestant we all loved to hate - nonchalantly feeding wine to her dog. You can revisit this early contender for TV Highlight of the Year below:

It all started when the 34-year-old sat down to speak with her new fiancé, 24-year-old Mark, about the problems that could arise over their ten-year age gap.

After warning Mark that she doesn't want to be his mum, Jessica lowers her glass to the dog's mouth so she can take a few sips before continuing to drink from the glass. She whispered to Mark: "She [the dog] loves wine."

I'm sure she does, Jessica.
