WARNING: THE SUICIDE SQUAD SPOILERS LIE WITHIN

Margot Robbie famously loves playing Harley Quinn in the DC superhero movies, but it seems she brings a whole lot more to the screen than acting chops and enthusiasm - it's been revealed that she performed a spectacular trick in The Suicide Squad entirely by herself.

Here's the scene in question:

In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the movie's director James Gunn spoke to guest host Anthony Anderson, alongside John Cena - who also stars in the film - and Robbie herself.

The trio spoke about the stunts that feature in The Suicide Squad, going on to discuss one of Harley Quinn's scenes.

The female anti-hero - played by the 31-year-old Australian actor - can be seen cuffed and suspended above the ground, before wrapping her legs around the head of one of her captors and then strangling him to death.

OK, fair enough.

Dangling from the ceiling by the chain from the handcuffs, Quinn deals swiftly with the burly fella.

Then, after letting his body drop to the floor, she tiptoes along his body (still attached to the ceiling) and grabs a key from his pocket in between her tootsies.

We've all tried it.

She then somehow brings her feet up to her wrists and unlocks the padlock before gracefully landing back on the ground and grabbing herself a pair of boots.

And yes, Margot performed this remarkable act of contortion herself.

On the show, Gunn explained: "The hardest thing I asked her to do was something I never thought she'd be able to do.

"There's a scene in which Margot is being hung up by handcuffs over her head and she has to get her toes along a dead body and pick a key off a dead body. Flip her toes backwards to put the key into the lock, over her head. Unlock it and come down straight.

"She's like a human Swiss army knife... and watching this scene with her flipping backwards was just beyond incredible.

"I was so happy that it worked and I was mesmerised by it."

However, Gunn admitted that you might not be able to tell that the stunt was all her own work, adding: "I got into the editing room with the footage and you have this little cuff on your outfit that covers her face so it looks like it's a stunt person... but it's Margot doing it in the movie.

"It's my biggest regret."

Margot went on to say that she could probably braid someone's hair with her toes. Prove it.
