If you haven't watched Tiger King yet, what on Earth have you been doing? The true crime docuseries was released last month and has been a huge success, gripping and baffling viewers across the world.
Keen to cash in on its popularity, Netflix subsequently released a follow-up aftershow yesterday (12 April) entitled The Tiger King and I.

The show is hosted by comedian and actor Joel McHale and features never-before-seen interviews with John Reinke, Joshua Dial, John Finlay, Kelci 'Saff' Saffery, Erik Cowie, Rick Kirkman, and Jeff and Lauren Lowe.
However, judging by the reaction on social media, it seems fans of the show weren't best impressed by it:
The extra tiger king episode sucked

Is it me or was the last episode of #TigerKing super boring... like even for an interview episode seems like they were just chasing the ratings

That extra episode of tiger king sucked horribly. Watched 5 minutes of it, then immediately went to call of duty.

There's plenty more where that came from, but I think you get the idea.
It's a shame really, for while reviews of the bonus episode are almost universally negative, the response to the series itself was quite the opposite.
Indeed, it could be this very high bar set the aftershow up for a flop, given that it was being compared to a documentary series put together over numerous years and was lacking several central characters from the show - none more so than the incarcerated Joe Exotic.
Speaking to LADbible, series co-director Eric Goode said Exotic was 'absolutely thrilled' with the documentary.
