Meet The Secret Members of Gogglebox Families That Viewers Have Never Seen

Fans of Channel 4's Gogglebox will be surprised to learn about the secret families who have never been seen on screen before.

Gogglebox has been on the air for nearly a decade now and last week, season 18 made a return to our screens much to the delight of the majority of the nation.

The cast of the hit reality show have become national treasures over the past eight years, but that doesn't mean that we've met the whole gang. There are plenty of family members that prefer to stick to the sidelines who won't be blessing our screens any time soon.

So, let's meet a few of them:

The Malone Family

The Manchester-based Malones are one of the most popular families on the show, consisting of parents Julie and Tom Sr, their son Shaun and, of course, their beloved pet rottweilers. Also featured was Tom Jr, who used to appear on the show before departing the cast earlier this year.

But behind the scenes, the family actually have two more children - their third son Lee, who runs a recruitment agency, and their daughter Vanessa, who briefly appeared on the show back in March.

The Siddiqui's

On-screen, the Siddiqui family is made up of dad Sid and his two sons, Baasit and Umar.

But outside of the trio of males, Baasit and Umar also have two sisters who do not appear on the show and both brothers are happily married. Their wives also choose not to appear on the show.

Baasit and his wife Melissa have two children together- daughter Amelia and baby son Theodore.

The Warners

Sisters Ellie and Izzi Warner have proven themselves to be firm favourites amongst fans of the show, and film their scenes together at the family home where Ellie lives with her boyfriend Nat, who recently made his first appearance on the show earlier this year when social distancing guidelines prevented the sisters from getting together.

Izzi meanwhile has her own flat with boyfriend Grant and two adorable children, five-year-old son Bobby and a newborn girl Bessie Rose.

Jenny and Lee

Hull-based best friends Jenny and Lee are some of the longest-running members of the show and it's easy to see why- they've been friends for over 20 years and fans love their chemistry.

Yet to appear on the show is Jenny's husband Ray, who prefers to keep a low profile.

Lee also has a long-term partner Steve, with who he's been in a relationship for two decades. Steve lives in Cyprus and the pair were separated recently due to the coronavirus pandemic which left Lee unable to travel to the island for six months.

Pete and Sophie

One of the worst kept secrets amongst fans of the show is that Blackpool brother and sister duo Pete and Sophie are the great-niece and nephew of Paul and Barry Chuckle, with the siblings often posting about their uncles on social media and delighting fans with the resemblance.

However, what viewers may not be aware of is that Pete and Sophie also have two additional siblings - Harry and Lucy - who have never appeared on the show but make frequent cameos in the duo's social media posts and seem to have a good relationship with the rest of their family.

Season 18 of Gogglebox will be airing every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
