Good news for fans of The Sopranos - a must-listen podcast is heading your way.

Talking Sopranos will be hosted by Michael Imperioli, who played prodigal mafia son Christopher Moltisanti, and Steve Schirripa, who played Tony Soprano's brother-in-law Bobby Baccalieri.

The podcast will work through the acclaimed show on an episode by episode basis, filling you in with all the behind the scenes bits of trivia you so desperately crave. There will also be loads of interviews with cast and crew members and listeners will be invited to submit their own questions to Imperioli and Schirripa.

Imperioli is particularly well-placed to answer all manner of questions, having written and produced five episodes too, namely: 'From Where to Eternity' (Season 2, ep. 9), 'The Telltale Moozadell' (season 3, ep. 9), 'Christoper' (season 4, ep. 3), 'Everybody Hurts' (season 4, ep. 6) and 'Marco Polo' (season 5, ep. 8).

The podcast is due to launch in April and will be available on Apple, Spotify and YouTube, as well as other platforms.

The show first aired more than 20 years ago and a total of 86 episodes were made across six series - so there's plenty of content there for the podcast to get stuck into.

The crime drama was created by David Chase and is widely regarded as one of the greatest TV series of all time.

This greatness is reflected by the multitude of awards it won, including 21 Primetime Emmy Awards and five Golden Globes.

Peter Biskind summarised the critical reception well for Vanity Fair, describing the show as 'perhaps the greatest pop-culture masterpiece of its day' and 'a fearless series that has transformed television'.

The show has stood the test of time too - it currently boasts an impressive rating of 92 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, 94 percent on Metacritic and 9.2 out of 10 on IMBd.
