Mum And Daughter So Close They Give Each Other Brazilian Waxes

A mother and daughter have revealed they're so close that they even regularly give each other Brazilian waxes.

Karla and Rykia, from Alabama, have shared their unusual story in a new instalment of TLC reality series sMothered, which returns for a third season on 31 May.

The duo are like two peas in a pod, with Karla gushing about her daughter: "She's the first person I see when I wake up and the person I see when I lay down."

In fact, they're so close to one another that they're even willing to tackle the other's waxing.

In a trailer for the new series, Karla can be seen on all fours in a bedroom - her modesty covered with some nifty blurring - while Rykia waxes her rear.

Rykia says: "My mother and I have been waxing each other for quite some time now."

As she removes hair from her mother's intimate area, she tells her: "You're smooth like a baby again!"

Karla turns back to her daughter and replies: "Ah, thank you!"

Mum-of-two Karla is happy to over-share and feels no need to respect boundaries - something that not all of her family welcomes.

She is also mother to a son called to Rasheed, who isn't quite as fond of his mum's interfering ways as his sister is - admitting it even put him off introducing her to his girlfriend Chelsea,

Eventually, Karla meets Chelsea nine months into her relationship with Rasheed, although it turns out he may have been wise to delay their getting together.

He says in a voiceover: "Definitely, my mom has made me uncomfortable sometimes with asking my girlfriend questions."

The trailer then cuts to the group enjoying dinner, as Karla turns to Chelsea and asks: "You would never ask your mom to wax your butt?"

In the new series of sMothered, we'll also get to meet the likes of Lisa and daughter Lauren, who FaceTime each other when they take baths and wax each other's moustaches, Carina and her mum Amy, who often shower together and sleep in the same bed - even sometimes swapping underwear.

Amy says in the trailer: "My life without my daughter would be like taking all of the colors out of a rainbow."

Returning stars also include Sunhe and Angelica, Kathy and Cristina and Dawn and Cher.
