BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty raised a few eyebrows this morning when she told Joe Wicks she was there to 'get his pecker up'.

Wicks took part in an unbelievable 24 hour non-stop exercise-a-thon for Children in Need - raising more than £1,500,000 as he did so.

As the 24-Hour PE Challenge drew to a close earlier this morning, he appeared on BBC Breakfast where he admitted to feeling a bit bloody knackered by the whole thing.

He said: "I am so tired, it's not even funny now, it's getting silly."

And, in an attempt to boost his spirits and perk him up a bit, Munchetty said: "Right, Joe, we are here to get your pecker up OK, you are raising loads of money. You've had loads and loads of support; people are loving you for doing this.

"We've been playing films this morning, looking at families who are benefitting and you said yesterday that was the thing that was going to drive you through.

"How am I doing as a motivational coach?"

Now, while 'keep your pecker up' is a perfectly acceptable phrase meaning to keep yourself going during a tough situation - many BBC viewers had their minds firmly in the gutter and were left in fits of giggles by Munchetty's comment.

Posting on Twitter one person said: "Naga wants to get Joe's pecker up."

While another wrote: "Did Naga Munchetty on #bbcbreakfast just say she was going to help keep #JoeWicks pecker up?!"

A third added: "Naga on BBC Breakfast just said to Joe Wicks, 'I will get your pecker up' I nearly spat me cornflakes out."

What are you lot like?

Anyway, Joe and his pecker managed to smash the challenge earlier today.

As he finished, he said 'I feel so full of adrenaline' before later collapsing to the floor on a Pudsey.

In total, he raised £1,520,020, which is pretty bloody amazing.

Wicks was given the good news that he'd ticked past £1m raised, live-on air, responding: "What?! No way! I love that,

"Thank you to everyone who donated last night and this morning. That is a million pounds, to help thousands of kids across the UK. What a generous country we've got, eh?"

If you want to donate to Wicks' efforts, or just to Children in Need in general, you can do so by visiting the website, phoning through on 0345 7 33 22 33, or by posting your donation to BBC Children in Need Appeal, PO Box 648, Salford M5 0LB.
