Just as lockdown measures are relaxed and kids can go back to school, the summer holidays kick in - no one's going to bed on time and people need a little advice. In other words, Channel 4 has timed the return of Supernanny USA perfectly.

Yes, a new series is returning to our screens tonight (20 July) at 9pm. Beloved parenting expert Jo Brand will make a welcome comeback with her no-nonsense guidance to parents on the edge of a complete meltdown.

Following pleading messages from families across the pond, the reality series sees Supernanny coming to the rescue of these parents who are at the end of their tether, whether struggling to control their troublesome kids or even finding their own relationships being put to the test.

We'll see Jo impart over 30 years of experience and parental expertise to handle families in desperate need of her help and advice.

From children who act out and tweens with too much screen time, to fussy fad eaters and parents who just can't agree on how to raise their kids, we're never far from some must-see real-life drama.

With only days to help each family, Jo strategically pulls together challenging, yet life-changing plans to bring some normality and harmony back to these households.

Fans of the show will remember that Supernanny aired in the UK from July 2004 to October 2008, and in the US from January 2005 to March 2011.

In March 2019, it was announced that Supernanny would be returning for a 20-episode season, which premiered on Lifetime in January.

Expect conflict and crocodile tears to be unleashed when Supernanny USA arrives on E4 from 20 July at 9pm.
