Nicole Scherzinger's performance with the Pussycat Dolls on last night's X Factor has had very mixed reviews, with some viewers saying it wasn't suitable to be shown before the 9pm watershed.

The judge was performing with her old band-mates for the first time in ten years, and they certainly made an entrance back into the limelight.

The girls were wearing mesh and pleather outfits - which some felt didn't leave that much to the imagination - and had a choreographed routine to go with it. They ended the show by being soaked in water.

While some viewers thought that 41-year-old Nicole and her mates took it a bit far, others loved their comeback performance.

One viewer said: "It's disgusting and kids are watching this. Why is it okay to wear stuff like this and dance provocatively in front of kids... It's disturbing."

While another praised their outfits, posting: "Everyone saying that the Pussycat dolls were dressed too sexy on The X Factor last night. If I had their figures I would dress like that on a daily basis! Good on them!"

Another jokingly said they caused the sonic boom that was heard in the capital early this morning (1 December): "That loud explosion heard in North London last night was actually planet Earth reacting to The Pussycat Dolls' X Factor performance."

Someone else brought up another recent kick off over popstars' outfits - when people accused Little Mix of 'dressing like strippers' at the BRIT Awards in February.

They wrote: "Soooooo the Pussycat Dolls can come on X Factor and create a porno but @LittleMix show off a bit of bottom and twerk and they get no end of hate for that - makes no sense."

Little Mix put on a very high-energy performance alongside Ms Banks at this year's BRIT Awards, which Jack Whitehall described as 'raunchy' before adding that dad's 'up and down the country would be reaching for scatter cushions' - good grief, Jack.

Over on social media their outfits caused a debate with some slamming the women for their outfits comparing them to 'strippers' and others pointing out that they are adults and can wear what they like.
