Disney+ will be making an animated version of the Ben Stiller comedy classic Night at the Museum.
According to The DisInsider, the films will be called Night At The Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again and production is expected to begin in early November.
The movie is expected to centre around Nick Daley - the son of Larry Daley, played by Ben Stiller, in the 20th Century Fox trilogy. Nick is hesitant to follow in his father's footsteps as the night-watchman of a museum that comes to life.

It's believed that the animated version will see the return of Egyptian villain Kahmunrah (originally played by Hank Azaria). Other characters making a comeback include: Jedediah (played by Owen Wilson), Octavius (played by Steve Coogan and, the 26th President, who will become Nicks supporter, Teddy (played by Robin Williams).
The DisInsider reports that the film isn't expected to bring back any of the actors from the previous trilogy and will instead look for fresh takes on the characters - meaning no one will be trying to impersonate any of those aforementioned either.
This isn't the first time we've heard mentions of a reboot. Back in 2019, Disney chief Bob Iger seemingly confirmed there would be a 'reimagination' of a handful of franchises on Disney's Q3 Earnings Call.

Iger mentioned three franchises in particular; Night at the Museum, Home Alone and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Some film fans have taken to social media to protest the remakes, with one writing: "What's going on with all these remakes? Idk I guess I just appreciate originality."
Another added: "It's not a Night at the Museum film without the red hot sexual tension between Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan."
Others however were delighted by the news. One fan said: "I thoroughly enjoyed all the movies and am excited to see new animated content being produced! Especially considering this will be the first time a 'live action' movie is adapted to animation and not the other way around."
