Paul Rudd has proved that some traditions are worth upholding, having pranked Conan O'Brien with his long-running Mac & Me gag for one final time. Check it out:
Over the years, whenever he has appeared on Conan, Rudd has repeatedly brought a clip from the widely-panned 1986 movie Mac & Me, instead of a clip from whatever movie he was there to promote.

In his most recent prank, Rudd crashed an interview with Bill Hader - where he then unexpectedly pulled out the Mac & Me clip, much to O'Brien's amusement.
Rudd baited O'Brien by at first talking at length about a sketch Hader had written for Saturday Night Live.
He said: "Lorne [Michaels, SNL producer] said in the history of the show, it was the worst received sketch of all time - we did it in dress and it didn't get one laugh, not one.
"Thankfully, they actually film rehearsals - shall we see the sketch? And you will see what I'm talking about... play the sketch."
But, of course, the sketch didn't play and - once again - we saw the scene from Mac & Me where poor Jade Calegory (Eric Cruise) loses control of his wheelchair and goes hurtling into a lake.

Despite it happening time and time again, it seems as though O'Brien has fallen for it every time.
He said: "Every time, for years, I was convinced that I would see the real... because you are genuinely a nice person.
"And you would say 'this movie is really important to me' and 'I put my own money into this, and I really care about this' - and then you'd pull that s*** every time."
Conan estimated that Rudd has kept the gag running for a whopping 25 years, but the actor also revealed that it wasn't even his first choice.
He went on to say that he had originally planned to use a clip from Baby Geniuses, which we were then all treated to - and you have to hand it to him, that would have been every bit as brilliant as Mac & Me to see over and over again for a quarter of a century.

Sadly this could be the last we'll see of this particular gag as the Conan show ends forever this month.
