People have been raving about an Australian documentary series on Netflix called Love On The Spectrum.

Since it dropped on the streaming service this week, viewers have flocked to show their adoration for the series.

It was originally aired on the ABC and SBS, but has been taken up by Netflix Australia to hopefully be seen by loads more viewers.

The show explores each person's life, how their autism affects them, and what they're looking for in a potential partner. They get paired up with relationship experts to teach and inform them of what to do on dates.

What results is an extremely warm, funny (never at their expense), and engaging series that will really pull at your heart strings.

People have posted on social media about their love for the show.

One viewer said: "There's a new series on Netflix called Love On The Spectrum about people with autism looking for love. If you've watched The Undateables you'll love this. I honestly cry and giggle every time. They speak about love, dating, sex, identity - mostly, I love how they love."

Another added: "Honestly, you're a bit dead inside if you aren't charmed by the young people in the new Netflix series Love On The Spectrum."

A third viewer wrote: "I just watched the first episode of Love On The Spectrum and it's beautiful, heart-wrenching, funny and adorable."

People who are on the spectrum have also been posting about how they feel about the show.

One wrote: "Love On The Spectrum is such a wonderful show. As someone on the spectrum, it makes me feel not so weird. I'm in good company."

Another said: "Watching Love On The Spectrum on Netflix and loving it. It's people like me on the screen. Speech like mine. Mannerisms like mine. Interests like mine. Topics like mine. Honesty and directness like mine. My people. MY PEOPLE ON SCREEN!!! I absolutely love it."

It seems like critics are enjoying it as well.

The Guardian has praised the show for its in-depth look at the way people with disabilities find romance and gave it four out of five stars.

Decider was similarly complimentary of the series and said it 'is unlike any Netflix reality dating show you've seen before, in the best way'.

Love On The Spectrum is now available to stream on Netflix Australia.
