People Are Saying I’m A Celeb’s Live Trial Was Impossible To Complete

I'm A Celeb viewers are sticking up for contestants James Haskell and Roman Kemp after last night's trial - which they're saying was 'way too harsh' and virtually impossible to complete.

Haskell and Kemp had to take part in a series of challenges inspired by ITV2 dating show Love Island, one of which saw them lie in a bed filled with snakes.

The duo had to try and grab stars from boxes filled with crabs, spiders and cockroaches before moving them to other boxes - all in 90 seconds.

As if that wasn't tricky enough, in one of Haskell's boxes sat a huge, stubborn crab, which refused to unclench its pincers from the screw holding the star.

Naturally, this made things quite difficult for the England rugby player - especially as Dec warned him to be careful with the crab. Well, duh.

After the trial had wrapped up, Dec sympathetically told Haskell that he'd been very 'unlucky', asking him: "What was it James?"

Haskell, clearly pretty peeved, hit back: "What was it? It was the very fact there was a giant crab in the way that you wanted me to carefully caress in a different direction as I tried to unscrew a star in its face."

Earlier, they'd also taken part in a jungle version of Love Island favourite, 'suck and blow' - with added pig testicles, of course.

I mean, he's got a point - and viewers agreed with him, with many taking to Twitter to argue that the task had been unfair.

One person tweeted: "There was no way anyone on this earth could have completed James & Roman's trial in 90secs! Be fair & feed the last 3 will ya #ImACelebrity2019 Shouldn't have had less than 3 mins on that."

Someone else agreed: "This final live trial was an absolute disgrace. How could you expect James and Roman to complete it within 90-seconds. Felt like the producers did it on purpose."

A third added: "90 seconds was too harsh! They never had a chance! Those crabs were massive and just in the way!!!"

Responding to some of the backlash, Ant and Dec tweeted to say that the 'stand ins' managed to complete the trial when it was tested, adding a shrugging emoji.

Later, on I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp, Ant recalled the challenge to host Emily Atak, saying: "How angry did James get? He had a little go at Dec."
