People have taken to social media to talk about their first time watching Four Lions and many can't believe what they're seeing.

The film, which was released in 2010, tells the story of a group of British jihadists who aspire to become suicide bombers.

If you've never watched it you might feel a little uncomfortable with the brief synopsis but the dark comedy quickly became a household classic.

The film stars Oscar-nominated Riz Ahmed (who plays Omar) as well as Omar's cousin Waj (Kayvan Novak); Barry (Nigel Lindsay), a bad-tempered convert; and the naïve Faisal (Adeel Akhtar).

Now fans have been sharing their first impressions of it with one writing: "Four Lions was so funny and the first time I saw Riz Ahmed!"

Someone else added: "Just watched Four Lions, that s*** is crazy." A third commented: "Watching Four Lions for the first time and this movie is total nutter!"

Others were jealous of those first time watchers and wished they could be in their position.

One wrote: "I wish I could watch Four Lions for the first time again," while another said: "Man I wish I could watch Four Lions for the first time again, I don't think I've ever laughed at a film more than that."

A third commented: "Wish I could go back in time and watch Four Lions for the first time."

Recently it was revealed that Riz Ahmed has been nominated for an Oscar - making him the first Muslim man to be nominated for an award in the Best Actor category.

The award is for his role in Sound of Metal where the 38-year-old plays a deaf drummer.
